Trust me, this is the BEST game available for the PS4 By: SteveW, on November 1, 2017 Pros: Cons: "Have played many hours of GTAV, Uncharted4, Tomb Raider, MGSV Resident Evil, Syndicate etc etc. Hands down this is the most enjoyable game to date. Scenery is great, gameplay is fun and fulfilling. MGSV was awesome and better in some respects but the overall enjoyment factor is what puts Black Flag ahead of all others. It is a game afterall. |

A fun, interesting take on the Assassins Creed universe! By: ShadicJ, on January 3, 2016 Pros: Cons: "Going into this game, I didn’t think that it could get any the better than the AC: III, however I was, thankfully, proved wrong very quickly indeed. This made the jump to next-gen very well, and gave gamers a fun and interesting environment to explore. With the free running mode being made a lot better, and more fluid, it lets you do some pretty flawless parkour around all the islands. The whole world is fun to explore, especially as it is mostly made up of mini islands to explore, as... |

Huge 6662 MB Update By: Jill Duff, on May 16, 2015 Pros: Cons: "Two parts to this review. I'll start with the moan. I particularly went for DVDs because I have always found UBISOFTs servers to be agonizingly slow - and AC IV is massive. The game comes on three disks. These loaded fine. On launch I got a message to say that I needed to download an update. I have 50 MB broadband. The fastest the UBISOFT server got up to was 3 MB (and that was rarely) at worst it was down to under 200 KB and at one point hit 0 KB. End result: 4 hours to... |

good story line By: max, on December 23, 2014 Pros: Cons: "Although this game is not the major ac game this year it is still very good and if you are an ac fan then you should certainly pick it up as the story line ties in very well with black flag, ac3 and unity. the story on this game is most defiantly its strong point despite the fact it is short and is slightly boring at the beginning however as soon as soon as it gets going it is truly fascinating and is allot of fun. All the characters are actually quite interesting and I wish Ubisoft could... |

A ripping yarn of a Pirate adventure. By: S. Broadbent, on December 12, 2014 Pros: Cons: "This is the first time i have ever played Assassins Creed and i love it. The graphics are stunning and the game is beautiful to look at. There is no difficulty setting but the game starts out easy and slowly develops and increases in difficulty, taking you with it. I have purchased the guide book to help out but it is quite hard. The map or "sandbox" is immense and there are numerous side quests to compliment the main storyline. I have now completed the game... |

AC: Rogue delivers on story and gameplay whilst being a great entry in the series By: Game Reviews, on November 18, 2014 Pros: Cons: "It's about time we got to experience the Templar side of things in one of these games but how does it match up to the rest of the series? I'm a big fan of AC4: Black Flag and the more recent AC: Unity so let's see how Shay's adventure holds up. ----- Story ----- In Assassin's Creed Rogue you play as Shay Cormac. As you already know, Shay becomes a Templar but you start out the game as an assassin tasked with locating and retrieving important Pieces of Eden for... |

The most intense story since Assassins Creed II By: Sultan Kazi, on November 17, 2014 Pros: Cons: "The game mechanics are pretty much the same as Black Flag but all of that can easily be forgiven with the extremely captivating story missions and the additional game features such as fighting Assassins which requires a completely new strategy never before used in AC games. This game tries to rectify the flaws of its predecessors (such as excessive tailing missions which has finally been fixed) and the gamer feels like they are building up on the experience they have previously acquired... |

Assassins Creed Fan.... Biased review warning!! By: D. Maydew, on November 16, 2014 Pros: Cons: "I have all of the Assassins Creed Games to date for the Xbox 360, and was looking forward to getting my hands on this one to finish off the "OLD" generation of the series, and it's not disappointed me one bit!! It's based on the 7 year war and is aimed around an Assassin called Shay that goes to the other side, which is a great twist and has all the elements of Assassins Creed 4 Black Flag. I know some AC purists will moan, but it's the way Ubisoft look like they're taking the... |

A copy of Black Flag, but a treasury of information on AC lore if you have the patience... By: killercroc, on November 16, 2014 Pros: Cons: "Generically Rogue is a copy of Black Flag I won't deny it. The game play is majorly the same with minor tweaks here and there. Almost all side activities are the same also. The story itself however is a much needed link as it bridges the way from Black Flag to Rogue to Unity to AC3 - all in one game. Characters who seemed unimportant in the previous games have a new light shed upon them giving them purpose and the ability to strike chords within the gamer and it also opens the path for the... |

Unfortunately broken but barely cohesive anyway. By: loltashenrech?, on October 20, 2014 Pros: Cons: "While the game looks like it could live up to AC2 and the pirating mechanics are fun I can get no further than 14% through the game because of a broken online component (presumably on Sony's part). at a certain point in the story you can't progress until you use the "fleet" which requires a whopping 1.6GB update download. I have tried everything (to the point where I have spent more hours trying to fix this game than I managed playing it) but the servers seem to give up at about 50% and... |

Hoist the colours, this is a booty. By: Johnathan thompson, on August 21, 2014 Pros: Cons: "Excellent. This is so far the best game in the series. For those of you who have played the previous games Black flag opens up a whole host of new options. New mission types,a switch up in the combat system and a crafting system based on resource collection. The story is much more in depth and complicated than AC3 where Connor was one dimensional and focussed on revenge Edward develops well as a character and is almost as likeable as Ezio from previous games. The controls as ever can occasionally... |

Pirates of the Caribbean - the game By: Hannah, on August 4, 2014 Pros: Cons: "The pirates of the Caribbean had always needed it's own (good) game. His one delivers, and although it breaks away from the traditional assassin format, there are plenty of recognisable missions, tactics and Templars to kill. In the modern day, you are a faceless employee who operates the animus, but perhaps you won't be such an innocent employee after all. Information on subject 17 and his companions is provided, but you don't have to leave the thrilling pirate world too often. |

Fantastic but couple of flaws By: Sean Davidson, on March 22, 2014 Pros: Cons: "I love AC games since AC1 with hours of fun, stealth and entertainment. Here is my sum up of Black Flag: We will start of with the positives: - Graphics: The graphics for all the AC games have been great especially this one as you can clearly see the rain coming down off the faces of Kenway, Blackbeard etc when it rains and when you are on the ship how you can see the lightning and the high waves from the storm looks life like. - Weapons: The range of weapons... |

better than AC3 but pales by comparison to AC2 and ACB By: Su, on March 9, 2014 Pros: Cons: "As an AC fan I was recently asked about my opinion on ACBF and it caused me to undertake some deep consideration. ACBF is the 6th game in the Assassin's Creed series. Assassin's Creed became one of my favourite games from the moment I started playing it - it seemed different to anything that had gone before. AC2 and ACB took things to new heights, ACR added a little more to the game play with new climbing and rope sliding equipment - all of which was abandoned by... |

Hodgkinson, on January 5, 2014 Pros: Cons: "Had this purchased for me as a gift and truthfully did not expect to like it as I enjoyed the novelty and uniqueness of the first Assassins Creed but did not like any subsequent ones that I felt were unoriginal and tedious. Imagine my surprise when I reluctantly tried it and of the six launch games I own this has now became my most played title, I cannot get enough of it!. The world is very absorbing and encourages you to explore and graphically, although one of the first next gen games and... |

Will Keep you Busy for Months By: Martin Shaw, on December 4, 2013 Pros: Cons: "This was my first pick as a launch title for my XBOX ONE and I am not disapointed. After the meh-ness of Assassins Creed III, this game feels like a breath of fresh (salty sea) air. Already expanding on what you could do in previous AC titles, Instead of one or two massive locations, You have a massive world map to play around in, think along the likes of Fallout and The Legend of Zelda Windwaker and your sorta there. Nothing beats sailing around the oceans and hearing... |

Back to the good times. By: MorbidlyOPreece, on December 3, 2013 Pros: Cons: "My first PS4 game. Being a fan since the very first game I have seen this series grow and get better. There have been a few low points (AC3) but all in all a very good franchise. The game looks very good. I was even impressed with the main menu and straight away knew the soundtrack was going to be epic. So far I am really happy with this game and very impressed indeed. This is easily the best one yet. The graphics are top notch and so far the story is very good. Its a massive open world sand box... |

Simply Sublime... By: James, on November 28, 2013 Pros: Cons: "This game can be summed up in two words 'simply sublime'. It is immense and I'd go as far as saying it's the best Assassin's Creed game I've played (I've played them all). So what is so great about AC IV? You play as a Pirate Edward Kenway who is the best protagonist in the AC franchise so far. He may not have the charm of Ezio or the charisma of Haytham, but he is as hard as nails and really captures the true essence of a Pirate. The setting is the Caribbean (surprise,... |

less than 30 a bargin for a great game By: Wrant, on November 26, 2013 Pros: Cons: "It took two days to be delivered via first class from amazon I have an i7@3.5 16gb RAM and a geforce gtx 680. I have set all the graphics to maximum apart god rays and the game looks and plays really well. At sea the waves look real as does the water in ponds and at the sea shore The game play on land is similair but better than AC 2, I did not play AC 3. I am about 15 hours into the game and an really enjoying it well worth £29 which... |

Assassins creed 4 By: pencil, on November 23, 2013 Pros: Cons: "Plays well on PC, seems better optimised than previous releases. Good fps, great graphics. Much more interesting gameplay than AC3. Better story, and incredible sea battles. Running on fx6100 and hd6870. BUY. |

Another great assassins creed By: CJ, on November 23, 2013 Pros: Cons: "I've been a huge fan since the very first assassin's creed came out - each time they have added a little more to the game, and this has continued in "black flag". Think of the last game crossed with pirates of the Caribbean and you won't be far off. There is much heavier emphasis on sea battles, and there are dozens of small islands to sail around as you build up your crew and upgrade your ship, weapons, armour, and even your own island. Warning - if you thought the last game took up a chunk of... |

A must have game! By: 555 "555", on November 23, 2013 Pros: Cons: "One of the best releases this year, could not wait till xmas to unpack it so here is my review after 12 hours of play: has some minor bugs, but nothing to worry about, nothing that would cause problems in progress in main or side quests, but a patch has already been released. Runs very smooth on my pc with dx11, the performance is very well optimized and i have 30-40fps most of time i have a quad extreme cpu 2.66GHz, 8 GB ram ddr2, nvidia GTX 650 2GB ram, my machine is... |

A Return To Form For The Creed By: Neil Lennon, on November 6, 2013 Pros: Cons: "Avast ye scurvy land lubbing matey dogs, etc, etc.... If this game doesn't leave you talking like a pirate I don't know what would! Assassin's Creed IV transports you into the world of 18th century pirates with a cast of colourful characters, stunning graphics and engaging game play. There have been a succession of rubbish pirate games released on the PS3 but finally here is one that really nails the whole genre and beats all competition hands down. Having played through... |

Excellent game from Ubisoft once again! By: DTW, on November 4, 2013 Pros: Cons: "I am a huge fan of the Assassins Creed franchise and have purchased all of their games, completing each one in their entirety. Black Flag has certainly added to the franchise with a much larger map and the alternative plain of the Caribbean seas for your assassin to master. The changing climate and varying size/ability of foes on the sea creates a more enjoyable arena than the frontier of Assassins Creed 3. The storey line has the usual twist and turns to capture audiences, but I... |

Ignore the negative reviews By: CardiacGamer, on October 29, 2013 Pros: Cons: "I rarely review things, but after reading the negative reviews, I felt obliged in this case. People are complaining its similar to Assassins Creed 3. Tell me, what did you expect? Now let me be clear, this is no GTA 5. But that's because its not meant to be! This game is designed with a completely different aim. But enough of that, let me get into it. Gameplay: Now if your a fan of any other Assassins Creed game, your going to love this one. All the free running and movement has... |

Impressive and detailed. By: J. C. Neale, on October 18, 2013 Pros: Cons: "The quality of Assassin's Creed related figurines have improved with every release of the series so far - From the plain Altair, to the slightly better but smaller Ezio's to the excellent Connor figurines last year - I'm happy to say that this figurine follows on the same manner. The figurine comes in a large black box, windowed and written in silver print. Inside there is a downloadable content code for extra in-game items (Small spoilers ahead): - Connor Kenway's Sails, -... |
